Back beneath the moldings and gilded details. We say “back” because, as French photographers, we were both fascinated and amused when we first moved to the U.S. by the very American barn weddings.

But truthfully, there’s something that feels especially natural to us beneath grand chandeliers, Beaux-Arts paintings, and the distinctly European elegance found in some of Washington DC’s most iconic venues.

We had previously visited Larz Anderson House during an earlier trip to Washington, and instantly knew it was the kind of place that sparks inspiration. Photographing a wedding in such a setting felt almost inevitable.

And what a perfect match it was. S&C, with their incredibly refined sense of style (special mention to the MIU MIU heels), gave us complete creative freedom — the greatest gift a couple can offer.
