An Editorial Engagement Photoshoot in Detroit

Detroit, Michigan — yet another city whose architecture leaves us endlessly inspired. It’s nearly impossible to limit yourself to just a few hours of shooting in a place like this… especially with a couple this effortlessly beautiful!

We met Gabrielle and Robert at The Siren Hotel in downtown Detroit. Though relatively intimate in size, the lobby is filled with character: vintage armchairs, glowing lamps, textured mirrors, and cinematic corners at every turn. Add to that the hotel bar — reserved privately for the occasion — and suddenly time starts slipping away far too quickly.

Despite claiming they weren’t used to being in front of the camera, Gabrielle and Robert looked as though they had done this their entire lives. In the end, the hardest part of this engagement photoshoot was simply knowing when to stop.

We already can’t wait for their wedding day.
